 Confidentiality and Privacy Policy

What you discuss with your coach will be held in confidence, and not shared with others. However, these discussions are not privileged for legal purposes. The privilege of confidentiality that exists for clergy, therapists, and attorneys is not granted to coaching professionals.

That said, your coach is ethically bound to protect the confidentiality of your communications.  Information discussed in coaching sessions will only be released to others with your written permission, or in response to a direct court order. These situations are quite rare in coaching practices. If such a situation occurs,  every effort will be made to discuss it with you before any action is taken.

As you are probably aware, it is impossible to protect the confidentiality of information that is transmitted electronically. This is particularly true of e-mail and information stored on computers that are connected to the Internet; especially when there is not some form of security protection in place.

 Cancellation Policy

A 24-hour notice is required if you need to cancel or change the time of an appointment. No-shows or late cancellations will be charged half of your regular session price.

Please be sure to contact us if you will not be able to make your scheduled appointment, in order to avoid being charged for the session. Every effort will be made to reschedule sessions, when they are cancelled in a timely manner.

 Payment Policy

Fees for coaching sessions with Steve must be paid in advance by credit card through his website by the first day of the month in which they are provided, unless an alternative arrangement is agreed to in writing. Services not paid for in advance will not be provided.

Sessions with Carrie are to be paid at time of service. A no-show or late-cancellation fee will be charged if an appointment is missed, or cancelled in less than 24 hours. You will be asked to provide your credit card at the time of your first session, to cover fees for sessions, no-shows, and late cancellations.

 Boundaries and Limitations

It is important to understand that coaching is a professional relationship. While it may often feel like a close personal relationship, it is not one that can extend beyond professional boundaries, both during and after our work together. Considerable experience shows that when boundaries blur, the hard-won benefits gained from the coaching relationship can be endangered.

No information in our coaching services is intended or implied to be a substitute for professional mental health, medical, or legal advice, or is meant to replace any of these professional relationships. It is recommended that you consult a qualified professional, if needed in these areas, prior to utilizing any of the information provided during your coaching sessions.
